Admission procedure

How to apply for admission in the institute

Follow the official process below to ensure your application is complete and considered on time.

Application process

All candidates desirous of admission may obtain a copy of the prospectus containing the application form against cash payment of Rs 500/- from the institute counter or by paying online.

Application must be made on the prescribed form available in the prospectus only.

Applications complete in all respects may be sent under registered AD cover to the Principal, Life Guard Nursing Institute, Patiala Road, Village Kaloudi, Sangrur, Punjab - 148001, or submitted in person at the institute counter during office working hours.

Document submission

Complete application with the documents mentioned in the checklist, duly self-attested, must reach the institute before the last date laid down by PNRC.

Original certificates

Students must submit original certificates of Matric and 10+2 at the time of admission. These certificates remain with the institute until the course is completed.

Selection

Method of selection

After screening of application forms by the Admission Committee, a merit list will be prepared and displayed on the institute notice board on the next day of the last date.

Candidate intimation: Eligible candidates will also be informed by registered post and called for interview before the admission committee of the institute.

Final examination eligibility

Requirements for admission to the annual examination

Attendance

Attendance in tutorials, practicals, and field work for each paper must not be less than 75%.

Practical training

Students must have completed the practical training requirements and field experience requirements.

Practical record

Students must present their record of practical experience, duly completed and signed by the Principal.

Regular study period

Students must have pursued a regular course of studies for a minimum period of 11 months in a year.

Academic rules

Leave, migration, and examination guidance

Curricular plan and scheme of examination are followed as mentioned by INC, Delhi.

Leave

30 days leave is allowed. Absence other than medical leave will be deducted from annual leave.

Medical leave

10 days medical leave is allowed only on recommendation of the Medical Officer.

Preparatory leave

7 days preparatory leave is provided prior to examinations.

Migration

Migration to another institute for the same programme is permissible only with prior approval of the principals of both institutes.

If a student wishes to discontinue studies, the full amount of admission fee as well as tuition fee for the entire course must be deposited with the institute.

Discipline

Non-disciplinary acts that attract action

  • Not attending classes or not appearing in examinations and tests.
  • Non-obedience with rules of the institute or hostel.
  • Creating nuisance, disturbance, or misbehavior in the campus or hostel.
  • Destroying or mishandling facilities, equipment, infrastructure, or institute property.
  • Ragging, fighting, teasing, or similar misconduct with each other.
  • Non-ethical, unsophisticated, or uncivilized behavior.
  • Anything that affects the career, growth, and image of self, others, or the institute.

Being involved in such acts may attract serious disciplinary action, including fine, expulsion, or both, as decided by the Disciplinary Committee, Management, or Principal.
