Eligibility
Academic qualification:
- Candidates should have passed graduation with a minimum of 50% marks in the case of general category candidates, and 45% marks in the case of scheduled castes, backward classes, and physically handicapped candidates, from a recognized institution.
Language requirement:
- Candidates must have passed Punjabi up to matric level / standard.
Class X subject requirement:
- To ensure high quality standards, candidates must have passed English, Hindi, Punjabi, Science, Social Studies, and Mathematics in the Class X examination.
Age limit:
- Maximum age limit as on the date of application for admission to the course for general category candidates will be 37 years (Government of Punjab Notification, Department of Personnel No. G.S.R. 201 Const. / Art. 309 / Amd. (10) / 2010 dated 24/05/2010).
- Five years’ relaxation for SC/ST candidates.
- Ten years’ relaxation for physically handicapped candidates.
Selection criteria:
- Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of merit in the entrance test.
- The minimum marks to qualify the entrance test will be 50% in aggregate.
- A relaxation of 5% to qualify the entrance test will be given to reserved categories (scheduled castes, backward classes, and physically handicapped) as per the guidelines of the Government of Punjab.
- The entrance test will be conducted by SCERT Punjab.
